Not Huawei P50, October 21 event may launch a new Huawei Nova phone series in the European market

 Last month, Huawei confirmed it would hold a launch event on October 21 in Vienna, Austria. At the time, it was speculated that the company might announce the Huawei P50 series for global markets. Recently, a source has revealed that Nova 8i and Nova 9 phones will be introduced during the event.

Specifically, Huawei's Romania branch has confirmed that the upcoming launch event will see the arrival of the new Nova series of phones, which will likely be the two names mentioned below.

Huawei Nova 8i

Huawei Nova 8i is not a brand new phone as it was announced in Malaysia in July. The phone has a 6.67-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution, runs on Snapdragon 662 chip and supports 4,300 mAh battery. 66W fast charging.

This device has a 16 MP front camera and the back is equipped with a camera cluster including: 64 MP main camera, 8 MP wide-angle lens, 2 MP macro camera and 2 MP depth camera.

Besides, Huawei Nova 8i may only launch a single version with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal memory in Europe. This phone will probably be sold for 349 EUR (about 9.2 million).

Huawei Nova 9

In September, Huawei introduced the Huawei Nova 9 in China. The same device is expected to launch alongside the Nova 8i on October 21 in Europe. Nova 9 is equipped with a 6.57-inch OLED screen with Full HD + resolution and offers a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

This smartphone has a 32MP front camera along with a quad rear camera setup including: 50MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor.

Nova 9 is equipped with a 4G version of Snapdragon 778G. Other specifications of this handset such as a 4,300 mAh battery with support for 66 W fast charging and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Nova 9 is also expected to release in Europe with a single version of 8 GB RAM + 128 GB ROM with a price of 549 EUR (14.5 million VND).
