In November 2021, 9to5Google found important information about the Pixel foldable smartphone in the APK file of the Google Camera app, codenamed Pipit. Now, this model has appeared on Geekbench, revealing key specifications.
The Gizmochina page, citing a report from MySmartPrice, said that Google Pipit is listed on Geekbench with information about using an 8-core chip with a base clock of 1.80 GHz, and when checking the details of Geekbench's source code, it is revealed that this 8-core CPU has a base clock of 1.80 GHz. The structure is as follows: 2 cores clocked at 2.80 GHz + 2 cores clocked at 2.5 GHz + 4 cores clocked at 1.80 GHz. As for the CPU, it's the Mali G78 type.
From the leaked CPU specifications above, it is shown that the upcoming Pixel folding screen smartphone may use the Google Tensor chip, which is being equipped with the Pixel 6 series. Besides, Geekbench also confirmed that the Google Pipit has 12 GB RAM, running Android 12, scored 4,811 points in single-core and multi-core tests to 11,349 points.
Previously, 9to5Google's report revealed that Google Pipit will come with four cameras:
Two rear cameras: 12 MP main Sony IMX363 + 12 MP super wide angle Sony IMX386.
One camera in the internal display: 8 MP Sony IMX3555.
Another camera on the outside: 8 MP Sony IMX355.
